Âges et Transmissions is a Brussels-based non-profit organization founded in 1997 that encourages civic engagement among older people and values ​​their active role in society. Recognized as a continuing education organization by the Wallonia-Brussels Federation, it works towards a more inclusive, intercultural, and intergenerational society under the slogan: “Seniors as weavers of solidarity between generations and cultures.”

The association develops projects that promote exchanges between generations and cultures, support French language and reading skills, facilitate the transmission of memories and life stories, and train senior volunteers involved in educational and civic activities.

Article 27

promotes access to culture

Article 27 is a non-profit organization founded in Brussels in 1999 whose mission is to promote access to culture for people experiencing social or economic hardship. Its name refers to Article 27 of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, which recognizes everyone’s right to participate freely in cultural life.

To achieve this goal, Article 27 develops a network of social and cultural partners and offers, in particular, a system of discounted tickets providing access to shows, museums, cinemas, and other cultural activities. The organization also supports the public in cultural mediation projects, critical thinking, and artistic expression.

Centre de Santé mentale Antonin Artaud asbl

Circuit is a social hub of the Antonin Artaud Mental Health Center, open to anyone who wants to spend time there. It is primarily a place for exchange and sharing.

Circuit offers its members a place to meet, spend time together, have coffee, a bowl of soup, or a delicious, prepared meal at affordable prices. At Circuit, you can come to read, draw, knit…

With Circuit, we also organize a program of activities each month. We partner with other initiatives that allow us to see an opera at the Théâtre de la Monnaie, go to the cinema, a museum, or simply go for a walk!

Circuit is also an information point. We help people who come here find the appropriate support services. We offer our members the opportunity to connect with other Brussels organizations to find a new hobby, take a training course, or receive assistance. We promote networking within the neighborhood.

Le Collectif Fabula is an artistic company and association in Brussels founded in 2016 by Bernadette Heinrich and Abdelmalek Kadi. Based in Uccle, the collective develops interdisciplinary creations blending storytelling, theatre, music, poetry, and spoken word.

Its artistic project addresses societal issues such as migration, the role of childhood, community living, and social questions. Through its performances, workshops, and participatory projects, Le Collectif Fabula seeks to foster encounters, expression, and dialogue with diverse audiences, paying particular attention to those often distanced from cultural offerings.

The association also conducts numerous creative and oral storytelling workshops in social, educational, and intercultural contexts. Its work is rooted in a committed artistic approach, where culture becomes a tool for empowerment, transmission, and social connection.

Bruxelles FLE is a Brussels-based platform dedicated to French as a Foreign Language (FLE). Led by the non-profit organization Proforal, this platform supports trainers and associations that teach French to non-native speakers, particularly newcomers.

Its mission is to enhance the quality of French as a Foreign Language (FLE) teaching in Brussels by offering continuing education, teaching resources, forums for sharing best practices, and collaborative projects. The platform also provides a directory of training centers and fosters partnerships between educational, cultural, and community organizations.

De Markten is a Dutch-speaking community and cultural center located in the heart of Brussels, on the former site of the Old Grain Market. A true meeting place, it welcomes residents, associations, artists, and visitors in a spirit of openness, diversity, and civic engagement.

Through a varied program including performances, exhibitions, workshops, debates, training sessions, and neighborhood projects, De Markten promotes exchange between the different communities of Brussels and contributes to social cohesion in a multicultural city. The center pays attention with a particular focus on social inclusion, cultural diversity, and contemporary societal issues.

Formosa ASBL is a Brussels-based social cohesion association that combats social and cultural exclusion through educational and socio-cultural activities. Located on Boulevard de l’Abattoir in Brussels, it primarily serves adult immigrants who wish to develop their autonomy and civic participation.

Le Centre Vidéo de Bruxelles (CVB) is a Brussels-based association founded in 1975 that works in the fields of documentary filmmaking, lifelong learning, and social cohesion. Espace Forma (EF) is a Brussels-based non-profit organization active in the fields of social inclusion, training, and education. Its goal is to strengthen the autonomy, skills, and civic participation of diverse groups, including young people, adults in social and professional integration programs, newcomers, and those with limited digital access.

The association develops several activities, including academic support through a Homework Club recognized by the ONE (Office de la Naissance et de l’Enfance – Office for Birth and Childhood), socio-professional integration initiatives, training for the service voucher sector, and digital mediation initiatives. It also plays a significant role in bridging the digital divide through its certified Digital Public Space.

Cultures et Santé is a Brussels-based non-profit organization active in the fields of health promotion, lifelong learning, and social cohesion.
